The Shinto-Judaism research and dialogue group was established in January 2016 consisting of Israeli specialists of Japan and of Jewish studies.
Our purpose is to deepen understanding of Japanese and Jewish cultures, focusing on the prism of religion and inspire future mutual activities.

The group conducted one year of research meetings in Jerusalem before departing to Japan in April 2016. In Japan, the group visited key Shinto Shrines and conducted meeting with Japanese religious leaders for ten days.
In August 2018 the delegation continue its mission and arrived to Northern Japan to explore the mystery of the island. In September 2019 we conduct an international symposium in Tokyo.

We hope to continue this dialogue and expand it both in the number of participants as well as invite Japanese religious leaders and scholars to Israel.
