NEST IJ

May 26th Zoom Meeting

We organized in collaboration with Alexsolution an online event, bringing together Japanese and Israeli young adults, primarily students, to discuss the topic  of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

We discussed the topics of recycling practices, gender equality sustainable cities, ending hunger and poverty, life on land, and life below water.

In addition, we explored our familiarity with the subject and its presence in our academic institutions, as well as our personal interests and desired involvement in specific goals.

We also compared prices in Israel and Japan, highlighting the financial disparities between living in major cities like Tokyo and smaller ones like Saitama.

Interacting with Japanese and Israeli participants, including college and high school students, we exchanged perspectives and potential solutions for these issues.

It was a valuable and enjoyable experience, fostering meaningful dialogue and contributing to the advancement of the SDGs by bringing together diverse perspectives from Japan and Israel.

Overall, this meeting enhanced our understanding of SDGs in Japan, and we hope it provided the Japanese participants with insights into Israel as well.
